This position is responsible to ensure Attwell Books provides an excellent customer sales experience in-store and online.
Grade 12 or acceptable equivalent, or 1 year of relevant experience;
Modern software skills, including Google Docs, Facebook, Microsoft Office;
A passion for providing an excellent customer experience;
Able to work on a team, and independently with minimal supervision;
Personal, professional and technical aptitudes to make things happen in a busy environment.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide excellent, professional customer service in store.
Master the PoS system; be able to competently and efficiently perform all functions required by the job, and maintain a balanced register.
Maintain extensive knowledge about store products; be able and willing to make appropriate product recommendations to customers.
Keep the store clean and tidy, and assist in stocking shelves, rotating merchandise, and marking prices.
Perform store opening and closing tasks, reconciling cash and making deposits to safe when required.
Assist in designing and implementing creative and innovative store merchandising displays.
Maintain accuracy and effectiveness of in-store and online inventory systems, including updating product images, item descriptions, weights & measures, categorization, etc.
Train additional cashiers and store staff as required.
Process in-store and online customer orders for Attwell Books.
Work Location: CTF Airport Campus
Hours of Work: 5 - 12.5 hours per week
Work Schedule: Friday 5pm - 8pm; Sunday 10:30am - 2pm
Staff Category: Part-time/Permanent/Hourly
Salary: $14.00 per hour
Probationary Period: 90 days
Saturday shifts rotate with other staff as required. Additional evening and weekend work on occasion, particularly during on-site events. Schedule will be worked out with supervisor in advance.
