church Service Questions
How long does a service last?
A typical service is made up of around 30-45 minutes of awesome worship, diverse announcements, a 30-45 minute sermon and we always close with an opportunity for anyone who would like to receive prayer to do so. Our 1st and 2nd service are 1.5 hours and our 3rd service is around 2-2.5 hours.
Services vary from one another because we try to be flexible and do what God wants to do. We are BIG on listening to God and obeying him.
Also the worship is very free, so feel free to either sit or go wild
Why do we have 3 services & what are the differences?
1st service: 10:30am-12:00pm | 2nd Service: 4:00-5:30pm | 3rd SERVICE: 6:00-8:00PM
The 1st service has our amazing Kingdom Kids Program after the worship and our 3rd service has extended worship and extended ministry time.
Other than that each service is the same. The sermon is usually the same speaker other than on special occasions. Keep your eyes peeled on our main page or on our Facebook page to see who is speaking when.
What can I expect?
We are an expressive church. This means we like to dance, sing out lout, clap, laugh, cry, shout... you name it. We believe God created us with unique personalities, passions, creativity and we want every area of our being to express itself. At the same time we believe God is a God of order and our services are done in order and respect of one another.
Is Central only for Young Adults?
No. At Central, we strongly believe in family and community. Our congregation hosts a multitude of ages. All are welcome to come and be a part of our family!
What's up with these "Connect Cards"? Why do I have to do this each week?
Connect cards are a helpful way for us to facilitate weekly growth in your life. It's also a way for us to make sure we have your correct contact details as relationship and community are an important focus to us. It's a way for you to communicate with us about questions, prayer requests and praise reports. If you come each week simply put your name and email on the front, and then hang on to your card to the end of the service as we use it for ministry time. You can then put your card in the buckets as we pass them at the end of the service.
Where do I park?
There is free parking on the side streets as well as paid parking on Bloor St West. Keep you eye out for the clearly labeled parking regulations to avoid receiving a ticket.
What time should I get to church?
At least 15 minutes before the service so you have time to park your car, check-in your kids to the kids program, grab a coffee from our amazing coffee bar and find your seat.
Can I sit anywhere?
What do I have to wear, and do I have to bring anything?
Come as you are, bring a bible and notepad for taking notes.
I have kids - is there a nursery and a kids program ?
Yes, we have a kids program every Sunday, but only at our first service.
Do I have to pay to attend church, or will I be asked for money at any time during my visit?
Everyone is welcome to attend church and there is no cost to attend. We do receive an offering as part of our service. No one is under compulsion to give and you are welcome to let it pass by you.
Small Group Questions:
What is a Small Group/Connect Group?

Small Groups meet once a week, and each meeting is just 60 to 90 minutes long. Groups begin the last week of September and end the second week of December so your group will meet ten to thirteen times over the semester. It’s a short-term commitment - but the positive impact on your life will be long-term!
